Peer Support Services
At LCIS, we believe that healing and recovery are journeys best walked with someone who truly understands. That’s where Peer Support Services (PSS) come in. These services are offered through North Carolina Medicaid and are led by people who’ve been there—individuals in recovery from mental health or substance use challenges who are trained and certified to support others.

Our Certified Peer Support Specialists don’t just offer guidance—they bring real-life experience, compassion, and hope. They understand the ups and downs of recovery and are here to walk alongside you as you work toward your goals, whether that means finding stability, reconnecting with your community, or simply getting through the day.

Peer Support is all about connection, empowerment, and building on your strengths. We focus on what’s possible, not just what’s difficult. Services are flexible, person-centered, and can take place one-on-one or in group settings—wherever you feel most comfortable, including through telehealth.
If you're covered by North Carolina Medicaid and looking for someone who gets it, we’re here. Recovery is real—and you don’t have to do it alone.
